7.Koğuştaki Mucize

"Miracle in Cell No. 7" is a Turkish drama film directed by Mehmet Ada Öztekin, starring Aras Bulut İynemli, Nisa Sofiya Aksongur, Celile Toyon, İlker Aksum, Mesut Akusta, Deniz Baysal Yurtcu, Yurdaer Okur, and Sarp Akkaya. It is an adaptation of the South Korean film Miracle in Cell No. 7. The film became the most-watched movie in Turkey in 2019 and is the fourth highest-grossing Turkish film of all time. The story follows Mehmet Koyuncu, nicknamed Memo, a man with an intellectual disability. He lives in a small town in Muğla with his daughter Ova and his grandmother, Fatma Nine. Memo works as a shepherd to support his family. On April 23rd, the local martial law commander goes for a picnic in the forest with his family. While Memo is herding his sheep nearby, some children notice him and start playing with him. Later, everyone returns to eat. While playing tag with Memo, the commander’s young daughter climbs up on the rocks, falls, hits her head, and ends up in the sea. Memo jumps in after her and brings her out of the water, but the girl has already died. Seeing his daughter lifeless in Memo’s arms, the commander assumes Memo is responsible for her death and demands his execution. Memo is tortured and mistreated, then brought to court, where he is sentenced to death. His family and friends know he is innocent and begin searching for ways to save him.
